All About The Q began in Southern California in 2013 out of a love for cooking and sharing our creations with friends and family. Caught by the BBQ bug, Owner and Pit boss Todd Carpenter started his journey soon after as a KCBS Certified BBQ Judge, and moving quickly into the competition arena, beginning in the Backyard class before moving to the Pro class in 2014. Besides competing, vending and catering, Todd has taught classes for and served as President of the California BBQ Association, became an Ambassador to new competition teams in California, and was the Official Pitmaster of the Brew N Que Festival in Norco Ca. for 2 years in a row, and gained the sponsorship of
Rec Tec Grills and
Stubbs BBQ. In addition to all this, plus his day job, he still found time to custom build BBQ pits, including his own massive stick burner affectionately Godzilla.
In 2018, after living in Southern California for 19 years, Todd made the tough decision to move back to his roots and hometown to be close to family.Currently Located in Amherst Texas, All About The Q is comprised of Todd, brother Lance, and several friends and family who pitch in to lend a hand when help is needed. Things in life may change, but one thing will always remain the same with us, Every bite of food will be made with our love and passion for cooking.
